Hello All!
I am writing this post as I wait for my delayed connection at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (the airport at night is oddly inspiring).
December has brought another solid month of MVS. I posted earlier this month about our border trip, which was the most notable event in December. Since then, the rhythm of life has been steady in Tucson and things are mostly “same ‘ol, same ‘ol.”
That being said, for this blogpost, I am just going to share a few videos that you might enjoy watching.
Here they are!
The Twelve Days of Tucson MVS
As some old guy once said, “Where words fail, music speaks.” (my Google search says it was Hans Christian Anderson)
It so happened that music spoke to us through the form of “The 12 Days of Christmas.”
MMN invited each of the MVS units to create 12 “12 Days of Christmas Videos” depicting various aspects of MVS life. We felt extra motivated and created an entire music video (we were also motivated by monetary compensation). Enjoy!
Day In My Life
I thought it would be fun to create a little video showing what a typical day at work looks like!
*not all days are this happy and cheery, but what is vlogging if not to show the most aesthetic aspects of a subject?
MMN Recruitment Video
At our Salt Lake City Retreat MMN interviewed me and pieced it together into a little recruitment video.
I am an average human being who hates watching/listening to themself speak (why is this?), so this was challenging for me to watch!
That’s it!
Assuming my flight doesn’t continue to delay, I will soon be home for two weeks spending time with family, friends, and my parents’ newly-adopted cat (!!!).
I’m holding the duality of loving my time in Tucson while needing time back in the Midwest to rejuvenate.
Wishing you all a happy holiday season, and look out for my next post in January!
Peace,
Hannah
Thanks for the great video. It is good to hear that you are having a good year there. Our dear friend Harvey Hartzler (now deceased) spent a lot of time with CHRPA and told us many interesting stories. We wish you a wonderful 2025! Love Joyce (and Jep) Hostetler
Thank you! I like them all, especially the promotional video. Mennonite Mission Network is fortunate to have your voice.
